In this addition which had a strong theme of exposed structure, we designed and assisted in the fabrication of this custom railing system. Instead of expensive cable railing, standard picture wire and off the shelf hardware (eye hooks and turnbuckles) were used to provide the code required guardrail. The spacing of the wire was much tighter, due to the flex in the material, but it is still minimal enough to allow light and view to pass through. Once installed, the wire's imperfections give the impression of a three dimensional pencil drawing.
